Test communication with the LEARN button (RGPE/RGLE) on a Rheem furnace: Holding LEARN makes the green RX LED blink rapidly if the control is trying to communicate. No blinking means communication cannot be established (check wires 1 and 2 at connector J9 are not reversed).

How to fix test communication with the learn button (rgpe/rgle): step by step

1. Press and hold the LEARN button for two seconds
2. Watch the green RX LED: a short burst of rapid blinking = attempting communication
3. No blinking: check the 1, 2, R and C wiring between furnace, thermostat and condenser
