Snow melting systems
Snow Melting System Installation in the GTA
A snow melting system warms a driveway, walkway or set of steps from below so snow and ice melt as they land. We design and connect hydronic snow melting systems, where warm fluid from a boiler circulates through tubing under the surface, and handle the heat source, pumps and controls.
Our snow melting services
System design and sizing
We size the heat source and tubing layout from the area you want to keep clear and how you use it, so the system keeps up in a real storm.
Boiler and heat source
Selecting and installing the boiler, heat exchanger, pumps and controls that supply the snow melt loop.
Controls and sensors
Automatic snow and temperature sensors so the system only runs when it needs to, plus manual override.
Service and repair
Pump, control and boiler problems on existing snow melting systems, and annual checks before winter.
Best done before the surface
The tubing sits under the driveway or walkway, so it is easiest to install while the surface is being built or replaced. Tell us your timeline and we coordinate with your contractor.
How a visit works
Step 1
Call or book online
Tell us the equipment and what it is doing. If it shows an error code, have it ready; it often tells us which part to bring.
Step 2
Diagnosis and a clear price
A technician tests the system, shows you what failed and gives you the price. You decide before any work starts.
Step 3
Fixed, tested, cleaned up
We finish the repair or install, run the system through a full cycle and leave the area as we found it.

Snow melting systems: common questions
How does a snow melting system work?
Warm fluid from a boiler circulates through tubing under the surface and warms it just enough to melt snow and ice. Sensors start the system when snow is detected.
Can it be added to an existing driveway?
It is much easier when the driveway is being built or replaced, because the tubing goes under the surface. Smaller areas such as steps can sometimes be retrofitted. We assess your site during the estimate.
Do I need a separate boiler?
Often a dedicated boiler or heat exchanger is used so the snow melt loop does not load your home heating system. We size this during the design.
