Gas piping
Gas Line Installation and Gas Piping Services in the GTA
New gas appliances need a properly sized line, the right shut-off valve and a pressure test before anything is lit. Our TSSA-certified gas technicians run lines for kitchens, laundry rooms, patios and garages, and track down leaks in existing piping.

When to call a gas fitter
- You are adding a gas appliance and there is no line nearby
- An appliance runs weak when the furnace or water heater is also on
- A faint gas smell near a fitting or appliance
- A home inspection flagged old or unsupported gas piping
Smell gas?
Do not switch lights or appliances on or off. Leave the house, then call Enbridge Gas or 911 from outside. Once the utility has made it safe, we can find and repair the leak.
How a visit works
Step 1
Call or book online
Tell us the equipment and what it is doing. If it shows an error code, have it ready; it often tells us which part to bring.
Step 2
Diagnosis and a clear price
A technician tests the system, shows you what failed and gives you the price. You decide before any work starts.
Step 3
Fixed, tested, cleaned up
We finish the repair or install, run the system through a full cycle and leave the area as we found it.

Gas piping: common questions
Do I need a permit for a new gas line?
Gas work in Ontario must be done by a TSSA-registered contractor. We handle the work to code and pressure-test every new line before it is put in service.
How long does a BBQ gas line take?
Most BBQ lines are done in half a day, depending on the distance from the meter and how the pipe is routed.
Can my existing gas line handle another appliance?
Not always. We add up the total load on the meter and the pipe sizes, and tell you if a section needs upsizing.
