Common Markham setups

Townhouses with combi or air handler systems. Many newer townhomes heat with hot water from a combi boiler or water heater feeding an air handler. When heat and hot water both get weak, the heating appliance is usually the place to start.
Larger detached homes with high hot water demand and several bathrooms. Tankless water heaters and recirculation pumps are common, and they need regular descaling.
Heritage and older homes in Unionville and Old Markham with limited space for ductwork. Ductless heat pumps are often the cleanest way to add cooling or improve comfort in specific rooms.

Ductless heat pumps

Tip: rinse the filters in a ductless indoor unit every month or two when it’s running a lot. Dirty filters are the main reason they lose airflow or start to smell musty.

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a very positive experience with Ehsan from Aurora Star Tech. I hired him to perform maintenance and safety inspections on multiple gas furnaces and gas fireplaces, including some older and less common equipment.
Ehsan was thorough and spent considerable time on each unit rather than rushing through the job. He cleaned and tested the equipment, took operating measurements, and communicated with me frequently throughout the service. I especially appreciated that he explained what he was checking, shared his findings and readings with me, and showed me how some of the older fireplaces operate.
At the end of the visit, he completed an individual written maintenance and inspection report for each units, including key measurements and findings. I really value this kind of documentation for future maintenance.
Overall, I found Ehsan knowledgeable, patient, communicative and conscientious. He took the time to do the work properly and to help me understand the condition of the equipment. I would be happy to use Aurora Star Tech again and highly recommend Ehsan and his company.

We thought we had a gas leak, but Ehsan investigated and determined that there fortunately no gas leak in our case. Instead, we had a thermostat signal issue which he resolved.
