Combi or separate boiler and tank?
A combi boiler saves space and works well in most houses and townhomes. Large homes with several bathrooms in use at once may be better off with a boiler and an indirect tank.

Boilers and combi units: common questions
What pressure should my boiler be at?
Most residential systems sit around 12 to 20 psi when cold. If it keeps dropping, there is a leak or a failing expansion tank to find.
Do you repair old cast-iron boilers?
Yes, as long as parts are available and the heat exchanger is sound. We tell you honestly when replacing makes more sense.
Can a combi boiler replace my furnace and water tank?
If your home has radiators or in-floor heat, yes. For forced-air homes, a combi can feed a hydronic air handler instead of a furnace.
