Post-war bungalows

Many North York bungalows from the 1950s and 60s still have their original duct layout, with supply registers on outside walls and one or two central returns. A few things come up again and again:

Orphaned water heaters left venting alone into the old chimney after a furnace upgrade. These need a chimney liner or a power-vent water heater.
Undersized returns that make a new high-efficiency furnace noisy and hot.
Basements finished decades later without enough heat.

Custom rebuilds

When a bungalow is replaced with a large new house, the HVAC is a different job: often two furnaces or zoning, a high-output water heater or combi boiler, in-floor heat in basements, and bigger gas loads for ranges, fireplaces and BBQs. Gas pipe sizing matters here, and so does getting the gas meter capacity confirmed early.

Condos

For suite heat pumps, fan coils and ductless units, we check building requirements before quoting any replacement.

Tip: if you’re planning a rebuild or major renovation, talk to us before the drywall goes up. Moving ducts and gas lines is much easier with the walls open.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a very positive experience with Ehsan from Aurora Star Tech. I hired him to perform maintenance and safety inspections on multiple gas furnaces and gas fireplaces, including some older and less common equipment.
Ehsan was thorough and spent considerable time on each unit rather than rushing through the job. He cleaned and tested the equipment, took operating measurements, and communicated with me frequently throughout the service. I especially appreciated that he explained what he was checking, shared his findings and readings with me, and showed me how some of the older fireplaces operate.
At the end of the visit, he completed an individual written maintenance and inspection report for each units, including key measurements and findings. I really value this kind of documentation for future maintenance.
Overall, I found Ehsan knowledgeable, patient, communicative and conscientious. He took the time to do the work properly and to help me understand the condition of the equipment. I would be happy to use Aurora Star Tech again and highly recommend Ehsan and his company.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ehsan was incredibly helpful in resolving our furnace issue. We thought we had a gas leak, but Ehsan investigated and determined that there fortunately no gas leak in our case. Instead, we had a thermostat signal issue which he resolved.

Ehsan was very responsive and accommodating, and we will be using his services moving forward!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a leaky gas pipe behind my gas stove, and Ehsan took care of the repairs very promptly and professionally. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and patiently answered all the questions I had about the repair.

Service quote was also very reasonably priced, and I was extremely satisfied with the service I was provided.

I would 100% recommend him to anyone looking for a professional technician, and would definitely contact Ehsan again myself for any repairs in the future.
