Older Toronto houses
A lot of the city’s older homes, especially in the east end, the west end and midtown, were built with hot water radiators or old gravity furnaces. That shapes what makes sense today:
- Boilers and radiators. If you have radiators, a modern condensing boiler or combi boiler can replace an old cast-iron unit. We look at the piping and water quality, since old systems often need flushing.
- No ductwork for cooling. Ductless heat pumps are often the cleanest way to add cooling, and they help with heating in spring and fall.
- Tight lots. Semis and row houses have little space for outdoor units and venting. Side-wall vents have clearance rules from windows, doors and property lines, so placement is planned, not guessed.
Gas lines
Kitchen renovations, gas ranges, dryers, fireplaces and backyard BBQs all need properly sized gas piping. We run the line, add shut-offs and pressure test it before it goes into service, like in the photo below.

What our customers say
Questions we get in Toronto
Can I add AC to a house with radiators?
Yes. Ductless mini-splits are the most common way. High-velocity systems with small ducts are another option.
Do you replace old boilers?
Yes, with condensing boilers or combi boilers that also heat your water. We check piping and water quality first.
Do you work in condos?
Yes, on suite equipment. We confirm building requirements before replacing anything.
