Rheem Furnace: Replay or clear the fault history on power-up (802P / 80MDP / R95P)
Replay or clear the fault history on power-up (802P / 80MDP / R95P) on a Rheem furnace: After a power cycle the seven-segment display replays the three most recent faults under one week old, newest first. An old code does not mean the fault is active now.
Applies to: Rheem/Ruud (-)802P / 80MDP 80% two-stage furnaces; R95P furnaces
How to fix replay or clear the fault history on power-up (802p / 80mdp / r95p): step by step
- Switch furnace power off and back on
- Watch the display: up to three stored faults flash, newest first
- To wipe the history, flip the fault-clear DIP switch (SW8 on the 802P control, SW4 on R95P) six times in a row, alternating, within 30 seconds, then put it back where it was
