Common causes of weak cooling or heating - gree ductless
- Setpoint or fan speed too low
- Dirty filter
- Poor indoor/outdoor unit location
- Refrigerant leak
- 4-way valve fault (cold air in heating)
- Capillary/EEV restriction
- Service valve not fully open
How to fix weak cooling or heating - gree ductless: step by step
- Check setpoint and set fan to high or medium.
- Clean the filter.
- Check installation clearances and shading of the outdoor unit.
- Compare supply air temperature and pressures with normal; low readings point to a leak or restriction.
- Open both service valves fully.
- Cold air in heating with good charge: replace the 4-way valve.
