Dehumidification wiring and logic on a Goodman furnace: The Dehum input reduces blower speed to 85% during a cooling plus dehum call. The dehumidistat type sets the Dehum logic.

How to fix dehumidification wiring and logic: step by step
- Connect the dehumidistat between R and Dehum if using an external dehumidistat. It must run on 24VAC.
- If the dehumidistat opens on a humidity rise, set Dehum logic to Low using the CoolCloud app or push buttons.
- If the dehumidistat closes on a humidity rise, set Dehum logic to High using the CoolCloud app or push buttons.
- If using a thermostat, set it to energize Dehum only when dehumidification is wanted.
Safety: Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a licensed technician. Turn off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and always follow the manufacturer's manual for your exact model.
