How to fix turning off gas to the unit: step by step
- Set the thermostat to the lowest setting.
- Turn off all electrical power to the unit if service will be performed.
- Remove the upper access panel.
- Move the gas valve switch to OFF.
- Replace the upper access panel.
Safety: Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a licensed technician. Turn off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and always follow the manufacturer's manual for your exact model.
