Allied Furnace: EAC and HUM accessory terminals on the control board

Updated · by Aurora Star Tech Inc.

EAC and HUM accessory terminals on the control board on a Allied furnace: The EAC terminal is a 120 V output that is energized whenever the indoor blower runs. The HUM terminal is a 120 V output that is energized in heating mode when the combustion air inducer runs. Each takes up to 1 amp; larger loads need an external relay.

How to fix eac and hum accessory terminals on the control board: step by step

  1. Connect an accessory rated up to 1 amp directly to EAC or HUM, with its neutral on a provided neutral terminal.
  2. For a load above 1 amp, use an external relay and do not connect it directly to the terminal.
Safety: Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a licensed technician. Turn off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and always follow the manufacturer's manual for your exact model.
