Goodman Furnace: Resetting a furnace lockout
Resetting a furnace lockout on a Goodman furnace: Lockout happens when the furnace fails to ignite after three attempts in one call for heat. The furnace stops and shows a lockout code on the 7-segment display. The control resets automatically one hour after lockout. A manual reset is also possible.
Applies to: All 34.5in chassis gas furnaces
How to fix resetting a furnace lockout: step by step
- Wait one hour for the automatic reset, or
- Interrupt 115 VAC power to the furnace to reset manually, or
- Lower the thermostat so there is no call for heat for 1 to 20 seconds to reset manually.
