Clear the fault history on a Rheem furnace: Two ways to wipe the six-fault buffer.
Applies to: (-)96VA040-115 (R96V / U96V) and (-)(-)96MDV040-115 two-stage variable-speed communicating furnaces
How to fix clear the fault history: step by step
- With FL showing in the pushbutton menu, hold the button 5 seconds or more; the right display flashes its top and bottom bars three times.
- Or flip dipswitch S3-18 off/on three times (or on/off three times) within 30 seconds, then put it back to its original position.
- Faults older than 168 powered hours drop out by themselves.
