Trane Air Handler: Run test mode (furnace)
Run test mode (furnace) on a Trane air handler: Lets the technician watch the blower perform its stages without starting the outdoor unit. Option holds (HLD) a step. The blower takes roughly 70 seconds to start the test.
Applies to: P0V0 modular blower integrated control (IMBC)
How to fix run test mode (furnace): step by step
- Press Menu until run appears, then press Option; the display flashes three times and the test begins
- Blower runs at 1st-stage compressor speed 30 s, then 2nd-stage speed 30 s; the pair repeats two more times
- Exit with a short press of Menu, by cycling blower power, or by making a valid call for capacity or fan
