Run the fireplace during a power outage

4 AA batteries in the backup holder keep the flame ON/OFF working without 120 V.
- Remove the surround (if fitted) and the door.
- Pull the battery holder out on its cable from the IPI/CPI bracket on the left side.
- Load 4 AA batteries (flat end to the spring), put the holder back, refit the door.
- If the receiver batteries are dead too, slide the receiver to ON to light it by hand.
Safety: Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a licensed technician. Turn off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and always follow the manufacturer's manual for your exact model.
