Enter the installer service menu (AU technical settings)

Bosch · Greentherm T9800 SE 160/199 and T9900 SE 160/199 tankless water heaters

Installer-only service menu behind a password prompt; the password is printed in the installation manual (section 6.6).

1. Open Information / Adjustments, touch until AU Technical Settings shows
2. Touch the symbol and enter the password
3. Touch up or down to move between menus

Change installer parameters (password 1234)

Navien · Navien NPE-A2 (built-in recirculation) and NPE-S2 condensing tankless water heaters: NPE-150S2, NPE-180A2/S2, NPE-210A2/S2, NPE-240A2/S2

Operating parameters 1-16 are changed from the Installer Menu, which asks for the installer password.

1. Hold Menu and Back together for 3 seconds.
2. Open 1. Installer Menu and enter password 1234.
3. Choose 2. Parameter Settings and edit the parameter.
4. The value saves by itself after 10 seconds with no input.

Change the installer password

Navien · Navien NPE-A2 (built-in recirculation) and NPE-S2 condensing tankless water heaters: NPE-150S2, NPE-180A2/S2, NPE-210A2/S2, NPE-240A2/S2

The installer password is changed in the installer menu; the factory value is 1234.

1. Hold Menu and Back together for 3 seconds.
2. Open 1. Installer Menu and choose 7. P/W Change.

Open the R&D information menu (key sequence)

Navien · NPN-160U/180U/199U, NPN-120E/160E/180E/199E

Hidden menu with 1 Technical Information and 2 Parameter Information (2.PAR); it returns to the menu after 5 minutes without key input.

1. Press Power to turn the heater off.
2. Press Up (+) 3 times, Down (-) 3 times, then Up (+) 4 times.
3. Use Up/Down to choose 2.PAR, press Info.
4. Reset goes back one level.

Hidden menu that holds the installer menu, cascade setup, test mode and special operations.

1. Hold Menu and Back together for 3 seconds.
2. Choose Installer Menu, Cascade Status and Set, Test Mode or Special Operations with OK.
3. Press Back to leave.

Recover a forgotten screen lock password

Noritz · Noritz EZ111/EZ98/EZ71 and NRCR111/NRCR92

The operation panel screen lock uses a 4-digit password.

1. When 'Input Password' is shown, hold OK for about 5 seconds.

Enter installer parameter mode (A button on the PC board)

Rinnai · SENSEI RX and CX series tankless

Parameter mode changes numbered settings such as max temperature, recirculation mode, pump speed and the Service Soon interval.

1. Press the A button on the PC board for 1 s
2. Pick the setting number with the controller up / down arrows
3. Press On/Off on the controller to step through the option letters (01A, 01b...)
4. Press the A button 1 s again to exit
