Updated · by Aurora Star Tech Inc.

Short, practical technician tips on access & passwords for heat pump. Check each one against the manual for your exact model before acting.

Enter the indoor function setting mode (wireless remote)

Fujitsu · Fujitsu wall-mounted indoor units, 7/9/12/15 sizes (NA)

Opens the function settings on the wireless remote; set function 95 before the temperature corrections (30, 31, 92, 93), because changing 95 resets them to 0.

  1. Hold POWERFUL + SET TEMP and press RESET on the remote.
  2. Set function 95 before the temperature corrections (30, 31, 92, 93).
  3. Power the unit off and on after setting.

Open the outdoor board debug menu (SW1 held 5 s)

Kinghome · Kinghome Ultranixx cold-climate KU36UHO and KU60UHO outdoor units with KU..UH2I and KD..UHI air handlers

Holding SW1 for about 5 seconds opens the first-level debug menu on the KU outdoor board; items include 06 forced defrost, 08 refrigerant recovery and 09 forced operation.

  1. Hold SW1 about 5 seconds until the board display flashes.
  2. Short-press SW1 to move to the item you need (06, 08 or 09).
  3. Use SW2 or SW3 to change the value, then short-press SW1 to save.
  4. Leave it alone for 10 seconds to exit.
Safety: Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a licensed technician. Turn off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and always follow the manufacturer's manual for your exact model.

General guidance for qualified technicians. The manufacturer's installation and service manual and local codes always take priority.
