Applies to: Exhaust vent and intake installation

How to fix exhaust vent slope, support and terminations: step by step

  1. Pitch the exhaust vent at least 1/4 inch per foot back toward the boiler so condensate drains.
  2. Do not use vent connections to support the piping.
  3. Insert the supplied exhaust and intake screens into both terminations to stop debris and birds getting in.
  4. Pipe exhaust and intake separately. Do not share a common exhaust or intake with other appliances.
Safety: Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a licensed technician. Turn off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and always follow the manufacturer's manual for your exact model.
