Heat pumps and mini-splits
Heat Pump Installation and Repair in the GTA
A heat pump cools your home in summer and heats it most of the winter using electricity, with the gas furnace kept as backup for the coldest days. We size, install and repair ducted heat pumps and ductless mini-splits from Mitsubishi, Samsung, LG, Gree, Bosch and other major brands.
Our heat pump services
Ducted heat pumps
Replaces your air conditioner and works with your existing furnace and ductwork. The furnace takes over automatically when it gets too cold outside.
Ductless mini-splits
Wall units for basements, additions, sunrooms and condos without ducts. Each room gets its own temperature.
Heat pump repair
Units stuck in defrost, no heat in winter, outdoor fan or reversing valve problems, and error codes on the indoor head.
Sizing and set-up
We size from a heat-loss estimate of your home and set the balance point and thermostat so the heat pump does most of the work.

Is a heat pump right for your home?
- Your air conditioner is old and due for replacement anyway
- Some rooms are always too hot or too cold
- You want to use less gas without giving up your furnace
- A basement or addition has no ductwork
What about rebates?
Heat pump rebate programs change often. When we quote, we check which current programs your model and home qualify for and tell you what paperwork is needed.
How a visit works
Step 1
Call or book online
Tell us the equipment and what it is doing. If it shows an error code, have it ready; it often tells us which part to bring.
Step 2
Diagnosis and a clear price
A technician tests the system, shows you what failed and gives you the price. You decide before any work starts.
Step 3
Fixed, tested, cleaned up
We finish the repair or install, run the system through a full cycle and leave the area as we found it.

Heat pumps and mini-splits: common questions
Does a heat pump work in a Toronto winter?
Cold-climate models keep heating well below freezing. Paired with a furnace, the system switches to gas on the coldest days, so the house stays warm.
Can I keep my furnace?
Yes. Most of our heat pump installs are dual-fuel: the heat pump replaces the AC and the existing furnace stays as backup heat.
How long does a mini-split installation take?
A single-zone mini-split usually takes one day. Multi-zone systems take one to two days depending on line set runs.
