Indoor air quality

Indoor Air Quality Services in the GTA

Dry winter air, stale smells in a tight new house, dust that comes back the day after cleaning. Most of it can be fixed at the furnace, so the whole house benefits. We install and service humidifiers, ventilators, filters and UV lights.

Our air quality services

Whole-home humidifiers

Bypass and steam humidifiers mounted on the furnace, set to keep winter humidity comfortable without fogging the windows.

HRV and ERV ventilation

Bring in fresh air and send stale air out while keeping most of the heat. Installed, balanced and cleaned.

Media filters

Deeper pleated filter cabinets that catch far more dust and pollen than a 1-inch filter and need changing less often.

UV lights

Mounted at the coil to keep mould and bacteria from growing on the wet surface of the AC coil.

Where to start

For dryness in winter, a humidifier. For stuffiness and condensation in a newer, tighter home, an HRV or ERV. For dust and allergies, a better filter first. We check the house and suggest the one that fixes your actual problem.

How a visit works

Step 1

Call or book online

Tell us the equipment and what it is doing. If it shows an error code, have it ready; it often tells us which part to bring.

Step 2

Diagnosis and a clear price

A technician tests the system, shows you what failed and gives you the price. You decide before any work starts.

Step 3

Fixed, tested, cleaned up

We finish the repair or install, run the system through a full cycle and leave the area as we found it.

Indoor air quality: common questions

What humidity should my home be in winter?

Around 30 to 40 percent is comfortable for most homes. Lower it on very cold days so the windows do not sweat.

How often should a humidifier pad be changed?

Once a year, at the start of the heating season. Hard water may need it twice.

Do I need an HRV?

Newer homes built tight usually have one. Older homes often get enough air leakage, unless you are seeing condensation or stale air.
