Updated · by Aurora Star Tech Inc.

Short, practical technician tips on settings shortcuts for gas fireplace. Check each one against the manual for your exact model before acting.

Switch between intermittent and standing pilot (CPI/IPI)

Lennox · Elite Linear View LDV42N, LDV42P, LDV54N, LDV54P (SIT Proflame DFC control, remote wall receiver)

The DFC control can run intermittent pilot or standing pilot.

  1. The CPI/IPI switch is in the control compartment next to the main gas shutoff.
  2. OFF = intermittent pilot. ON = standing pilot.

Memory-off command (resume last flame setting)

Majestic · 300DVBLN/PSC7, 400DVBLN/PSC7, 500DVBLN/PSC7 (Signature Command)

Turn off while keeping the last settings so the next start resumes them.

  1. Hold the OFF button for 3 seconds, or turn off the wall switch
  2. Next start returns to the saved flame height
  3. To re-set, change to the new settings and use memory-off again
Safety: Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a licensed technician. Turn off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and always follow the manufacturer's manual for your exact model.

General guidance for qualified technicians. The manufacturer's installation and service manual and local codes always take priority.
