NTI Boiler: User maintenance checks
User maintenance checks on a NTI boiler: Checks the owner can do between annual service visits.
Applies to: TRX150
How to fix user maintenance checks: step by step
- Check the cabinet is closed while the boiler runs and no combustible or flammable materials are stored nearby.
- Check the power cord and main power line are connected to the manual switch box inside the boiler.
- Check the control panel for power and error codes. Clear any debris from the panel.
- Check the CH pressure gauge. Pressure should not exceed 30 psig. Higher readings can mean an expansion tank problem; call a technician.
- Check the exhaust vent and intake pipe terminations are clear of debris and obstructions.
- Visually inspect the exhaust vent and intake piping for blockage, leakage, damage, and bracing condition.
- Check the primary pressure relief valve and discharge pipe for weeping. If it weeps often, the expansion tank may not work properly.
