NTI Boiler: Sidewall concentric or low profile exhaust location
Sidewall concentric or low profile exhaust location on a NTI boiler: Sidewall concentric or low profile termination, layout rule. Exhaust and intake spacing matters here. Wrong spacing means flue gas gets pulled back into the intake. Follow the manual over the kit sheet.
Applies to: Sidewall terminations
Common causes of sidewall concentric or low profile exhaust location
- Exhaust terminal too close to the air intake
- Kit sheet clearances followed instead of the TRX manual clearances
- Terminal placed where wind or snow can recirculate flue gas
How to fix sidewall concentric or low profile exhaust location: step by step
- Keep the exhaust terminal at least 18 in above the air intake termination.
- Assemble per the kit instructions.
- Where the kit sheet and the manual disagree, the manual clearances win.
- Check the finished terminal against the manual figure before you leave.
- Look for snow drift or shrubs near the termination.
