NTI Boiler: Exhaust vent slope, support and terminations
Exhaust vent slope, support and terminations on a NTI boiler: Support the vent so it does not carry its own weight on the boiler connections, and keep it draining back to the boiler.
Applies to: Exhaust vent and intake installation
How to fix exhaust vent slope, support and terminations: step by step
- Pitch the exhaust vent at least 1/4 inch per foot back toward the boiler so condensate drains.
- Do not use vent connections to support the piping.
- Insert the supplied exhaust and intake screens into both terminations to stop debris and birds getting in.
- Pipe exhaust and intake separately. Do not share a common exhaust or intake with other appliances.
