How to fix canadian vent installation requirements: step by step

  1. Use a vent pipe system certified to ULC-S636.
  2. Keep the first 3 feet of vent pipe from the boiler flue outlet readily accessible for visual inspection.
  3. Do not mix components from other vent systems or unlisted pipe or fittings.
  4. Use double-wall or insulated intake pipe in cold climates to stop moisture condensing in the incoming air.
Safety: Gas, electrical and refrigerant work must be done by a licensed technician. Turn off power and gas before servicing, never bypass a safety control, and always follow the manufacturer's manual for your exact model.
